The Council for Art Education has designated March 2013 as Youth Art Month. Youth Art Month serves to emphasize the value of art education for all children and to encourage support for quality art programs. It also provides a forum for acknowledging skills fostered through experience in the visual arts that are not possible in other subjects offered in the curriculum.
Attached is a proclamation. Art education programs develop creativity, critical thinking skills, communication, and collaboration to assure our students success in the 21st century. |
