| Approve the Piggyback of Bid #10C-81H Between All American Tracks Corporation and Palm Beach County School District for the Installation of Polyurethane and Rubber Coatings for Running Tracks | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| To satisfy anticipated requirements for polyurethane track surfaces, staff proposes to piggyback Palm Beach County School District (PBCSD) bid #10-C-81H with All American Tracks Corporation through expiration of the agreement on June 15, 2013 (Attachment A).
Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) rule 6A-1.012 allows purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. All American Tracks Corporation has offered Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) an additional 6% discount off the pricing in the agreement with PBCSD (Attachment B). All American Tracks Corporation has consistently provided excellent service while fulfilling previous requirements. All American Tracks Corporation's agreement with PBCSD includes an option for an additional one-year renewal. The Superintendent is authorized to approve extensions of the District's use of the agreement through the term of any renewals executed by PBCSD. |

| Polyurethane track surfaces are typically funded by a combination of donated, school and District matching funds. The cost to provide a polyurethane surface on a standard 8-lane track is approximately $90,000. | |

| Evaluation of each installation is accomplished jointly by the District's project coordinator and code inspector.
