Approve Award of Contract for Roof Replacements at 4 Sites (Kenly, Robinson, Burney, and Marshall)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for replacement of selected roof areas  at Kenly, Robinson and Burney Elementary Schools and Marshall Middle School.  District staff selected Roof Engineering Associates, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services.

The project was advertised and bids received (see attached bid tabulation).  Award of the contract for construction to the low bidder, R.F. Lusa & Sons Sheetmetal, Inc. is recommended.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)

Total funds in the amount of $997,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay:  Local Millage.  The contract amount being awarded is $996,980.
