EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
SWFWMD has requested permission from the School Board to construct and install monitoring wells at the southern boundary of Walker Middle School. The purpose of these wells is to perform hydrologic measurements, conduct ground-water pumping tests and observe fresh/salt water interface levels for Horse Lake. The staff gauge and well will be placed within the lake itself and will not pose any hazard to students or staff of the school. Access through the campus has been established between SWFWMD and the school principal to be sure that SWFWMD staff will not interfere with any students or school activities when on-site monitoring will occur. |
