| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The National Geographic Geography Bee competition is a national contest for students in grades 4-8 that is held in Washington, D.C.
Schools participate in the Geography Bee using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. The contest is designed to encourage teachers to include geography in their classrooms, spark student interest in the subject, and increase public awareness about geography. The Florida Geography Bee was held in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 12, 2013. We are proud to recognize students from Turner Elementary and Mulrennan and Walker middle schools as state finalists from Hillsborough County. |
