Recognition of the 2013 Florida Geography Bee Finalists (Elementary/Middle School Education-Curriculum and Instruction Division)-Revised
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The National Geographic Geography Bee competition is a national contest for students in grades 4-8 that is held in Washington, D.C.

Schools participate in the Geography Bee using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. The contest is designed to encourage teachers to include geography in their classrooms, spark student interest in the subject, and increase public awareness about geography.  The Florida Geography Bee was held in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 12, 2013.

We are proud to recognize students from Turner Elementary and Mulrennan and Walker middle schools as state finalists from Hillsborough County.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum
