Recognition of Robinson High School – Students Named Finalists in Moody’s Mega Math Challenge (Administration Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A team of five Robinson High School seniors was named a finalist in the 2013 Moody’s Mega Math Challenge – Waste Not, Want Not: Putting Recyclables in Their Place. Teams were asked to address the following: issue of plastic waste filling our landfills, the best recycling methods based on demographics, and recommend guidelines for nationwide recycling standards.
Robinson was selected as one of the top six out of the 1,054 submissions. They competed on April 29 in New York City. The finalist teams will receive scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $20,000 based on their final rank order. Four of the five team members attend Robinson’s International Baccalaureate program. Students include Lauren Lopez, Ravi Patel, Christopher Sipes, Dylan Wang, and Anna Yannakopoulos. |
