Recognition of Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union and Toyota of Tampa Bay for Attendance Alliance with Hillsborough County Public Schools and Support of Students with Perfect Attendance K-12  (Instructional Support Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Thirteen years ago, Deputy Superintendent Beth Shields initiated an annual attendance incentive program for schools that meet or exceed the district goal of 96% student attendance.  This year seven students will be recognized and receive awards for achieving 13 years of perfect attendance.  Those students are:

  • Matthew Brannon, Strawberry Crest High School
  • Alyssa Elliott, Robinson High School
  • Riley McChesney, Newsome High School
  • Maleah McLean, Durant High School
  • Samantha Soto, Freedom High School
  • Connor Vice, Strawberry Crest High School  
  • Austin White, Plant High School
  • Timothy Donegan, Jefferson High School
  • Austin Todd, Bloomingdale High School

The district would also like to thank and recognize our community partners, Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union and Toyota of Tampa Bay, for their support of our students with exemplary attendance.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Motivate students to become responsible learners
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds totaling $800 from the Part 1 budget were used to provide this recognition.
EVALUATION
At the end of each school year, the Supervisor of Attendance will conduct a search of the district's student database to determine seniors who qualify for the Perfect Attendance Award K-12.
