Approve Agreement with the City of Tampa for the 2013/2014 School Resource Officer Program (Administration Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The School Board annually approves an agreement with the City of Tampa for the placement of School Resource Officers in our secondary schools.  The agreement is administered by the City of Tampa for the 2013/2014 fiscal year, August 1, 2013 - July 31, 2014.  The participating law enforcement agencies in the School Resource Officer Program pay 50% of the program cost.

• Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals • Demonstrate best financial practices • Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Total expenditure of the request is $1,491,731.  This amount is budgeted in the Division of Administration.
