Approve Administrative Appointments to the Superintendent’s Cabinet – Phase II
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The three-phase reorganization of the Superintendent’s Cabinet was approved at the February 26, 2013, School Board meeting.  Moving to Phase II:

Phase II:
Delete the Assistant Superintendent for Performance Management & Community Support.  Change the title of Chief Academic Officer to Deputy Superintendent.  The Deputy Superintendent will absorb the duties of the deleted position, and will work with the departments of Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, Student Services and Federal Programs, and Instructional Support.

Appoint a Chief Human Resources Officer, who will work in conjunction with Dan Valdez until his retirement in December 2013.  The Chief Human Resource Officer will oversee the Human Resources Division.
