Approve Interlocal Agreement for Joint Use of Facilities Between Hillsborough County and the School Board of Hillsborough County at Dorothy Thomas Exceptional Center and Lake Magdalene Children's Services Campus |

| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The School Board of Hillsborough County has been leasing the land for the Dorothy Thomas Exceptional Center from Hillsborough County since January 1991. As part of the land exchange recommended on a separate agenda item #7.02 on this agenda, the County will convey the land and facilities to the School Board. This Interlocal Agreement will formally set the terms and responsibilities of each party for their individual campuses and co-located uses. The Administrators of both schools have a long-standing working relationship and will communicate on a regular basis to coordinate and schedule programs and activities. The School Board and the County shall indemnify and hold each other harmless according to Florida Statutes Section 768.28. Any amendment to this Agreement shall be mutually agreed upon and amended in writing and duly executed by the School Board and the County's Board of County Commissioners. |
