On October 26, 2010, the Board approved the issuance of approximately $37,935,000 of Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCBs) for renovation of roofs and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at various District sites.  The QSCBs provided for acceleration of roof and HVAC renovations previously scheduled in the five-year plan.  (QSCB funded projects are indicated in the attachment.) 

On June 14, 2011, the Board appointed Carastro & Associates, Inc. to provide design services for a project to renovate the HVAC system at Forest Hills Elementary School.  On April 10, 2012, the Board awarded the contract for construction to General Mechanical Corporation.

The design professional has certified that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

This item was included in the District Capital Outlay: Qualified School Construction Bonds.
