| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Horizon Software International is the district Student Nutrition Services (SNS) information management system. This software integrates point of sale (POS) with back office functions such as menus, production records, recipes, nutrient analysis, ordering, receiving, and inventory.
The original contract approved by the Board in 1998 is an evergreen contract that renews automatically every year. Horizon Software International has been determined to be a single source provider due to our continued development and investment associated with this major information management system. SNS purchases an annual maintenance agreement that supports software changes and enhancements. SNS also purchases replacement POS equipment, specific to the operation of Horizon software, as needed. |

| Funds will be available through Student Nutrition Services in the amount of $208,988.24 for the annual software maintenance agreement and $269,994.78 for the projected replacement of POS equipment, such as touch screens and pin pads. This contract may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. | |
