Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Cross & Joftus, LLC (Administration Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hillsborough County Public Schools has made a tremendous investment in a ground-breaking teacher evaluation system that has required a significant change on the part of all educators in the district to implement successfully.  Principals have spent a great deal of time and energy understanding the new tools now at their disposal to assess instructional practice in their classrooms.

Hillsborough County Public Schools will provide differentiated training and support to school administrators as they learn to support and develop their teachers and improve instructional practice in their schools.  Working with principals as the key designers of this effort, the district will implement a coherent professional development model.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum • Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $124,571 will be available from the Race to the Top grant.
EVALUATION
Cross & Joftus will support Instructional Expertise, Visionary Leadership, Managing People, Relationship Building and Problem Solving and Strategic Thinking.
