| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| To support the prescriptive professional development needs of teachers at all schools in the district, electronic books allow teachers easy access to current professional resources. The Gale electronic book collection contains full text information from Gale/ASCD reference books and periodicals and can be accessed at any time by teachers through the internet from home, school or mobile devices.
The titles in the electronic bundles include (but are not limited to) the following topics: cultural responsive teaching, working with ELL learners, parent involvement, student engagement, and in urban settings. With the addition of these bundles, teachers will have access to 212 professional titles. |

| This item is included in the Teacher Incentive Fund grant, POWER3. The grant will pay $229,500 $224,500 for the purchase of the electronic bundles. This item is revised due to ongoing negotiations to achieve price reduction. | |

| Yearly usage statistics will be provided to the district by the vendor. In addition, teachers will be asked questions regarding the effectiveness of these products within the annual professional development needs assessment. | |
