EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
At the August 13, 2013, School Board meeting, the Board directed staff to conduct a School Bus Purchase Study. Below are steps the district is proposing to take to complete the study. Input from the Board is requested to finalize the district’s plan.
1. Proposed timeline for study completion. Attachment I 2. Release a Request for Information (RFI) to collect comparable data such as pricing, warranty, and ten year cost of ownership information for the three Florida Department of Education approved bus vendors. 3. Select RFI School Bus Purchase Committee (recommended representatives attached) Attachment II 4. Conduct comparable tests and reviews of the participating Florida Department of Education approved bus vendors. 5. Finalize study results and make recommendation to the Board. |
