EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Initiative:  STEMTEC is a five-week summer program that encompasses hands-on learning experiences in physics, engineering, and computer technology. Students are challenged to design, construct, and race solar energy cars and earn industry certifications in Microsoft and Adobe computer programs.  Junior Achievement curriculum in career success skills, entrepreneurship, and business ethics complete the classroom portion of the camp.  Five academic field trips to universities, Busch Gardens, the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), the Science Center of Pinellas County, and a job shadow visit to local businesses round out this program.

Goals:  To provide students a challenging and engaging summer enrichment program in preparation for college and careers in STEM-related industries.
