SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Expenditure of Grant Funds from the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) Grants (TIF2 and TIF4) for the Data Management System (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
TIF Grant funds have provided the means for the development of the District’s Data Management System in support of the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) since December 11, 2007, when the School Board approved Convergence Consulting Group (CCG) to develop that system. CCG consultants have worked closely with the Information Services, Human Resources, and Assessment and Accountability Departments to develop the system. The Data Management System links teachers with relevant student achievement data in order to calculate student achievement scores for teacher evaluations. The system includes teacher, test, course, and professional development data for all instructional personnel. Approving this agenda item will enable the District, in conjunction with CCG, to continue to maintain and support the Data Management System.

This agreement represents $948,212 of consulting services by CCG.  Funding for the services specified in the Statement of Work is from the TIF Grant (TIF2 and TIF4).
EVALUATION
Human Resources and Information Services staff will evaluate the consulting agreement with CCG based on the accuracy and timeliness of the deliverables as outlined in the Statement of Work.  CCG performance is monitored daily by staff and is reported during weekly status meeting and project plan reviews.
