Recognition of the 2013/2014 Teacher of Promise for World Languages (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The American Council of Foreign Languages recently honored a Plant High School American Sign Language (ASL) teacher as the 2013/2014 Teacher of Promise at their November 22, 2013, conference in Orlando, Florida.  This award is presented to a teacher who has recently entered the field and who shows great promise, passion, and talent for teaching world languages.

This teacher is an outstanding young educator, has been teaching for three years and is always eager to learn new techniques, implement new lesson plans, and collaborate with teachers in her school.   She also builds positive relationships with students and parents resulting in high levels of academic achievement for her students.  She is an extraordinary example of outstanding talent in the field of world languages.
