| Approve Agreement for Technical Services with the Tampa Bay Arts and Education Network (TBAE) to Provide Video Broadcast Services (Communications) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Since 2008, TBAE has carried Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) video programs on the Education Channel with an annual purchase order to cover the a la carte fees. It is recommended that TBAE continue providing services for programming produced by HCPS, including School Board meetings, Math Homework Hotline, Spotlight on Seniors, Best Kept Secrets, and other programming.
Video broadcast will be provided on an a la carte basis according to the rates specified on the attached letter from TBAE. At no extra charge, last year TBAE introduced an “indexing” feature making it easier for members of the public to go to the video archive and find the agenda they wished to review. The artistic and technical services provided by TBAE are exempt from the bidding process per Florida Department of Education Rule 6A1.012 (11)(a) Purchasing Policies. |
