| Approve Design Development for Renovation of Bing Elementary School | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for the renovation of Bing Elementary School. On October 8, 2013 the Board appointed Woodroffe Corporation Architects and Williams Company Tampa to provide design and construction management services.
The proposed scope of work includes renovation of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system; replacement of exterior light fixtures; new energy-efficient interior lighting; new ceilings; interior painting; a new fire sprinkler system; playcourt replacement; exterior envelope stucco repairs and water intrusion correction; new signage; plumbing improvements; and correction of accessibility and safety deficiencies. Approval of design development as illustrated in the attachment will allow the design professional to proceed with construction documents. Project completion is scheduled for August 2014. |
