Approve Payment to the Florida Education Fund (FEF) for Services Associated with their Partnership in Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) Grant, Project #U165A100060-12 (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | ||
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | ||
The U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) awarded $11,568,525 to HCPS for the district’s MSAP grant project. The purpose of the program is to support magnet schools that are part of an approved desegregation plan. Of this total amount, $75,000 is for project services rendered by the FEF for the no cost extension, 4th year of the grant. FEF is providing training in culturally competent classroom and school site leadership to assist administrators in gaining the specialized skills necessary to be effective leaders and instructors at diverse schools. A description of the leadership training is found in “Attachment A - Scope of Work” of the attached subagreement. |

EVALUATION | ||
Under the terms of the grant, HCPS is responsible for project evaluation. A copy of the annual reports and final evaluation report will be provided to the HCPS Office of Assessment and Accountability. The anticipated date for the annual report for year four is December 30, 2014. | ||
