SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Revisions to the Student Progression Plan (SPP), K-Adult for 2013/2014 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We have just received preliminary Repealer Bill information from our Chief Government Relations Officer, Ms. Milito, which will impact our SPP. We anticipate additional revisions to our plan and will bring them forward as soon as clarification is provided.
We request approval of the attached 2013/2014 SPP. Section 1008.25 of the Florida Statutes requires each school district to establish a comprehensive program for student progression that includes standards for evaluating how well each student masters the performance standards, Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. To ensure alignment with the 2013/2014 State Student Progression Plan, elements have been added or modified within our district to comply with Florida Statutes as well as district procedural changes for elementary, middle, and high school; career, technical, and adult education; exceptional student education; and English language learners. Major changes are summarized in red on the attachment. |
