| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins IV) funds an entitlement grant program to support the ability of states to provide public career and technical education (CTE) programs. Section 132 of the Act provides funds for public postsecondary institutions.
Funds flow from the federal government to the states and are allocated to local education agencies based on an approved formula, which includes the number of economically disadvantaged adults served in postsecondary CTE programs. An annual application is required to obtain the allocated grant funds. Approval for accepting these entitlement grant funds through June 2016 allows completion of the current grant year and provides alignment with federal grant cycles going forward. |

| In 2013/2014, over 2,393 students participated in postsecondary CTE programs supported by this grant. Evaluations are performed for grants as required by the funding authority. | |
