| Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price for Renovation of Bing Elementary School | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for renovation of Bing Elementary School. On October 8, 2013 the Board appointed Woodroffe Corporation Architects and Williams Company Tampa to provide design and construction management services. The scope of work includes renovation of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system; replacement of exterior light fixtures; new energy-efficient interior lighting; new ceilings; interior painting; a new fire sprinkler system; playcourt replacement; exterior envelope stucco repairs and water intrusion correction; new signage; plumbing improvements; data network upgrades; and correction of accessibility and safety deficiencies. Project completion is scheduled for August 2014. Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project. |
