EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
AMIKids - Tampa provides a 230-day non-residential Department of Juvenile Justice/Dropout Prevention Program for 60 students who are assigned through the change of placement process or recommendation through court placement. AMIKids - Tampa provides the facility and the personnel for the educational program with support and oversight by Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) Youth Services Program. HCPS contracts with providers like AMIKids - Tampa to serve these students through an FTE-generated formula and provide 90 percent of all FTE-revenue earned, as well as furnish access to all applicable categorical funds. | |

The cost of this contract is approximately $245,592. This amount is calculated using the projected FTE-generated revenue, plus the applicable categorical funds, minus 10 percent administrative cost allowed by the Florida Law HB 1989. This item is included in the Part 1 budget for 2014/2015. | |
EVALUATION | |
Each Juvenile Justice Education Program is evaluated annually by Youth Services department staff based on a model developed by the Juvenile Justice Enhancement Program (JJEEP). | |
