World Book Web Online Encyclopedia is a comprehensive and authoritative online resource that meets the diverse information needs of students, educators, public library patrons, and families.  This package includes: World Book Kids, World Book Student, World Book Advanced, Encyclopaedia Estudiantil Hallazgos (Student Spanish), Discover (Differentiated Instruction), Early World of Learning (Prekindergarten thru grade 2), Gran Hispanica (Spanish), L’Encyclopedie Decouverte (French), Dramatic Learning, and World Book Activity Corner.  This electronic resource will be available to students and staff at school or at home on a variety of electronic devices.  Professional development will be provided in person and through webinars.

In accordance with the Florida Department of Education, Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(11)(b), the requirement for requesting competitive solicitations for commodities or contractual services from three or more sources is hereby waived for the purchase by district school boards of educational services. We chose to utilize a process similar to our procedure used for the selection of county adopted textbooks where a committee of media experts examined all offerings and stipulated their top rated vendor. Library Media Services supervisors then worked with the Office of Procurement to secure pricing. 

This agreement is for one year with two additional years guaranteed at the same price and may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications.
