Recognition of World Languages State Competition Winners (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The importance and advantages of learning a world language is continuing to increase day to day. Apart from being able to converse with people in their own language, it also teaches tolerance, understanding, and cultural awareness. Learning a world language opens the door to other cultures and helps students become more competitive in the global marketplace.
Students studying a world language recently competed in a statewide competition that included poetry, recitation, and skits. Spanish learners competed against other districts throughout the state. We would like to recognize the students from Tampa Bay Technical High School who placed first in the Florida Spanish State Competition 2014. |
