Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for Renovation of Building 600 at Young Middle School |

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for replacement of the roof at Young Middle School. Due to the impending need to also replace numerous rooftop heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) units on Building 600 at the site, District staff deleted that building from the scope of the roof replacement projects and selected Cooper Johnson Smith Architects, Inc. and Allstate Construction, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services for a separate project to replace the rooftop HVAC equipment with interior units in conjunction with the roof replacement. The project scope also provides for new ceilings and lights and fire code upgrades. Project completion is scheduled for August 8, 2014. |
