Approve Disciplinary Action - Instructional Support (Revised)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Per recommendation of the Superintendent, the employees listed below are recommended for the following disciplinary action, effective April 30, 2014.  The employees are entitled to due process, which affords them the opportunity to request a grievance hearing after the final School Board action:

  • Mario Gutierrez, Multi-Trades Worker 6 – Furniture Refinishing:  Termination of Employment.  Arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, a misdemeanor charge.  Although the charge was reduced to Reckless Driving, the Safe Driver Plan states that a driver in a Non-OTETA regulated position, who receives a DUI or has a DUI reduced to a lesser charge or with DUI sanctions will be terminated from position.
  • Vincent A. Mascaro, Multi-Trades Worker 7 - Maintenance West:  Suspend Without Pay.  Arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence with Property Damage, a misdemeanor charge.
