Recognition of Third Annual Repurposed DooDad Art/Sculpture Competition (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Third Annual Repurposed DooDad Art/Sculpture Competition is the culmination of months of effort from hundreds of elementary, middle, and high school students and their art teachers from Hillsborough County Public Schools. What started as a means to reuse leftover street globes has evolved into an opportunity for students to learn about the importance of repurposing and recycling objects while creatively problem solving.

The sculptures that showcase our students' originality and our local sponsors' commitment to our community are on exhibit at the Tampa Bay History Center from May 5, 2014, through June 1, 2014.

The exhibition consists of 135 sculptures made by 245 students from 28 schools and invests in students development of the four C’s of twenty-first century skills: Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity.
