Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Use of Facilities Agreement Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the Citrus Point Church at Gaither High School |

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On November 5, 2013, the School Board of Hillsborough County entered into a Use of Facilities Agreement with Citrus Point Church for use of a portion of Gaither High School's cafeteria, auditorium and orchestra classroom to conduct services on a weekly basis. The Church has requested to modify the Agreement, for a limited time, to just use these areas every other week from June 10, 2014 to August 24, 2014. This is due to an anticipated decline in membership and income during this time period. Normal weekly services and rental fees will resume after August 24, 2014. As part of the original Agreement, the Church installed updated sound equipment and has provided numerous volunteers that have assisted the staff at Gaither with demonstrations for tech classes and backstage production coordination. The Church has proven to be a good partner with the School and proposes to be so for the duration of their presence. |
