Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for Modular Additions at Two Sites (East Bay, Lois) |

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
To provide better control and coordination, District staff proposed relocation of Transportation staff aligned with Administrative Areas 2 and 5 to nearby bus compounds in conjunction with the replacement of the portable facilities in which the staff are currently housed. (Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price for replacement of the existing portable facilities housing the Area Leadership Directors and their staff is recommended in a separate agenda item.) District staff combined the Transportation staff requirements into a single project and selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services. The Board previously approved design development for a project providing for construction of new modular facilities at Lois Center (Area 2) and East Bay High School (Area 5) to support the relocation. In addition to the new modular offices, the project scope includes improvements to the bus parking area at East Bay High School. |

Total construction cost is warranted at $1,243,591. Construction budget is $1,250,000. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage. |
