Approve Memorandum of Agreement with the Tampa Bay Area Regional Career Pathways Consortium - Hillsborough Career Pathway Consortium (Hillsborough Community College and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida) (Career, Technical, and Adult Education)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Tampa Bay Area Regional Career Pathways Consortium is a collaborative effort to provide a seamless articulation system for Tampa Bay area high school and adult technical students to continue their education at the technical center and community college level.  The Memorandum of Agreement shall be in effect from July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2018, with provision for review at least every two years to certify the standards of the articulation.

The Memorandum of Agreement with the Tampa Bay Area Regional Career Pathways Consortium includes:  Hillsborough Career Pathway Consortium (Hillsborough Community College and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida); Pasco-Hernando Career Pathway Consortium (Pasco-Hernando State College, Hernando County School District and District School Board of Pasco County); Pinellas County Career Pathway Consortium (St. Petersburg College and Pinellas County School Board); Polk Career Pathway Consortium (Polk State College and the School District of Polk County); and the Suncoast Career Pathways Consortium (State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, Manatee County School Board and Sarasota County School Board).

The Hillsborough Career Pathway Consortium requires The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida to be the first signature on the Agreement.  Each member of the consortium will submit the agreement to their School Board for approval.

• Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
A portion of the salary for the staff who oversee the district's participation in the Hillsborough Career Pathway Consortium is paid through district funds.
EVALUATION
This agreement will be evaluated based on the number of students who utilize the articulation credits through the consortium partners.
