EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On June 12, 2012, the Hillsborough County School Board approved a five-year contract with W. E. Phillips Learning Academy. The contract commenced on July 1, 2012, and was scheduled to be in place until June 30, 2017.
Due to low student enrollment, the W.E. Phillips Board met on May 12, 2014, to discuss the future of the school. The Board reached the decision to close the school at the end of the 2013/2014 school year for the following reason: low enrollment which created a challenge in meeting the needs of their students. The district staff will work closely with the charter school and the families to ensure that all students will be supported to make a smooth transition to their next school setting. |
