A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for exterior painting at Robinson Elementary School and the Bartels component of the recently established Turner/Bartels K-8 School.  District staff selected Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services.  On May 13, 2014, the Board awarded a contract for construction to United Painting Services, Inc.  The scope of work includes repainting of exterior stucco; the interior and exterior of exterior doors; and railings and other exterior painted metal surfaces.

This change order adds exterior painting at the Turner component of Turner/Bartels to the scope of the project. As the change order increases the contract amount by more than 10%, Board approval is required.

Adding Turner to this project will ensure uniformity throughout the Turner/Bartels K-8 School campus.

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay:  Millage.
