Approve Interlocal Agreement Between Hillsborough County and the School Board of Hillsborough County for Chamberlain High School Track Resurfacing Contribution

The Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act of 1969 permits local governments to work together on the basis of mutual advantage to provide services and facilities to meet the needs and development of the local community.  In this regard, Hillsborough County has included as part of their adopted Fiscal Year 14-19 Capital Improvement Program a contribution of up to $45,000 toward the track resurfacing project at Chamberlain High School.

The School District completed the track resurfacing for a total cost of $88,952 and after the contribution from Hillsborough County, the final cost to the School Board is $43,952.

The Interlocal Agreement was approved by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners at their July 16, 2014 meeting. 

Approval of the Interlocal Agreement between Hillsborough County and the School Board of Hillsborough County accepting the County's $45,000 contribution toward the $88,952 cost of resurfacing the track at Chamberlain High School will result in a final cost of $43,952 to the School Board.  The $45,000 reimbursement will be used to replenish the school district's local millage.
