Approve Agreement for Technical Services for Information and Technology Supplemental Staffing with Trident Technical Solutions and Joint Enterprise Technologies (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On April 1, 2014, the Board approved the repurpose spending of Race to the Top (RTTT) grant funding from funding permanent staff positions to hiring contracted services.  Based on that approval two consultants were hired using the results of the January 2014, Request for Qualifications 13073-DST IT Supplemental Staffing.  One of the consultants provided is from a vendor registered with the Office of Supplier Diversity.

These consultants assist in support of report initiatives that provide teachers, principals, and administrators with the information they need to inform and improve instructional practices, decision making, and overall effectiveness to help students achieve.  Approval of this agenda item will extend the supplemental staffing until September 30, 2014, replacing the RTTT funding that ended June 30, 2014.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $61,560 are available through the Teacher Incentive Fund grant.
EVALUATION
Supplemental staff hired to meet this requirement will work under the supervision of the Department Manager of Information and Technology Business Solutions, Information Technology Division, who will assign and review tasks and priorities on a weekly basis.
