Approve Disciplinary Action - Instructional (Revised)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Per recommendation of the Superintendent, the personnel listed below are recommended for the following disciplinary action effective July 16, 2014:

  • Beverly Baker, Teacher, Barrington Middle School: Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board rule 6A-1.0503-"Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel" contained within the LULAC et al. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • Carl Canion, Teacher, Jefferson High School: Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board rule 6A-1.0503-"Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel" contained within the LULAC et al. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • Teresa Klag, Teacher, Marshall Middle School: Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board rule 6A-1.0503-"Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel" contained within the LULAC et al. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • William Leonard, 2nd, Teacher, Progress Village Middle School: Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board rule 6A-1.0503-"Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel" contained within the LULAC et al. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • Lea Lewis, Teacher, Benito Middle School: Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board rule 6A-1.0503-"Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel" contained within the LULAC et al. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • Mitchell Rebenstorf, Teacher, Wharton High School: Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board rule 6A-1.0503-"Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel" contained within the LULAC et al. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • Cassandra Williams, Teacher, Randall Middle School: Suspend without pay, pending outcome of investigation.  Arrested for Leaving Scene of Accident Unattended, a misdemeanor charge, and Tampering with Physical Evidence (Destroyed), a felony charge.
