Approve Districtwide Comprehensive Safety Inspections Annual Report
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Florida Statute 1013.12 mandates an annual comprehensive fire safety, casualty, and sanitation inspection be conducted during the 2013-2014 school year.  The completed inspections are available for review at the District Safety Office and a copy will be forwarded to the State Fire Marshal's Office (as required by Florida Statute 1013.12). Deficiencies that posed an imminently dangerous condition were immediately reported by the Fire and Safety Inspector for priority correction.  Each deficiency in this category was expedited upon receipt and resolved--none remain at this time.  The consolidated inspection report is attached.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
During the 2013-2014 school year, approximately $4,079,524.05 was expended from the following funds to correct 7,926 health, life, and safety deficiencies:  School Supply Budget - $0; Maintenance Budget -$1,138,729.05; Planning and Construction Budget (included in scheduled renovations) - $2,940,795.
