| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The School Board annually approves an agreement with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for the placement of School Resource Deputies in our secondary schools. The agreement is administered by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for the 2014/2015 fiscal year, July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015. The participating law enforcement agencies in the School Resource Deputy Program pay 50 percent of the program cost.

Total expenditure of the middle and high school resource deputies is $2,826,615. The sum is already funded in the Division of Administration’s budget.
Total expenditure for elementary school resource deputies is $337,468. Salary and benefit expenditures are available in the school district's FEFP (Florida Education Finance Program) allocation due to the cost of savings from the 90-day hold on filling non-emergency positions. This funding will end at the end of the grant period. |

| This agreement will be reviewed annually and student/school data will be reviewed regularly to ensure effective implementation. | |
