Approve Disciplinary Action - Instructional (Revised)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Per recommendation of the Superintendent, the personnel listed below are recommended for the following disciplinary action effective July 30, 2014:

  • Shanta Dumont, Teacher, Bartels Middle School: Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board Rule 6A-1.0503 – “Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel” contained within the LULAC et al. v. State Board of Education Consent Degree.  
  • Clara Lowery-Seyer, Teacher, Seminole Elementary School: Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board Rule 6A-1.0503 – “Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel” contained within the LULAC et al. v. State Board of Education Consent Degree.  
  • Monique Roderick, Teacher, Thompson Elementary School:  Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board Rule 6A-1.0503 – “Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel” contained within the LULAC et al. v. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • William Vlasic, Teacher, Shields Middle School: Suspend without pay, pending outcome charges.   Arrested for Battery (Victim over 65), and Tampering with a Witness.  These are felony charges.
  • Tracy Roese, Teacher, Freedom High School:  Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board Rule 6A-1.0503 – “Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel” contained within the LULAC et al. v. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • Jaye Wheeler, Teacher, Clair Mel Elementary School:  Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board Rule 6A-1.0503 – “Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel” contained within the LULAC et al. v. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
  • Jodi White, Teacher, Turkey Creek Middle School:  Suspend without pay, pending termination.  Violation of Hillsborough County Teacher Tenure Act Section 4(a) (4) persistent violation of or willful refusal to obey laws or policies relating to the public schools.  Specifically, State Board Rule 6A-1.0503 – “Definition of Qualified Instructional Personnel” contained within the LULAC et al. v. State Board of Education Consent Degree.
