Approve Amendment #001 to Full Service Schools with the State of Florida, Department of Health (DOH) (Student Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approve amendment #001 to the 2014/2015 Full Services Schools contract that was approved at the School Board meeting on June 24, 2014.  Its purpose is to expand school-based health services and increase access to health care in high poverty areas.  The Full Service School funds provide direct health related services to schools in our district.  This is an annual renewal of flow-through funds from the Hillsborough County Health Department to the school district and has been in effect for over 20 years. The amendment was required based on Florida Statute changes related to employment requirements.

It is the practice of the DOH to sign all documents after School Board approval.

• Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $422,772 are provided by the Legislature from general revenue and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) federal dollars in specific line items for Full Service Schools. 
EVALUATION
Annual reports are submitted to the State of Florida Department of Health.  These reports contain data regarding student, parent and district employee encounters.
