Performance Outcomes with Effective Rewards POWER 3 Teacher Leader Program (Division of Student Services) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Initiative: The POWER 3 mission is to recruit and retain highly effective teachers at the District’s 30 POWER 3 sites.
Goals: POWER 3 goals include:
Targeted Population: Teacher Leaders will work with all POWER 3 instructional personnel to help teachers improve instructional effectiveness, resulting in an increase in student achievement. Timeline: The POWER 3 grant began the planning year in October 2012. This 5-year grant will be fully implemented from the 2013-2014 school year through the 2016-2017. Professional/Staff Development: Teacher Leaders have received extensive professional development training in the following areas.
Transferability: Each of the POWER 3 sites has a designated Teacher Leader to work with all instructional personnel. Involvement: POWER 3 has several professional partners including New Teacher Center, Eckerd College, and the School Improvement Network that provide some of the professional development for the Teacher Leaders and POWER 3 sites. |
