Approve the 2014/2016 School Health Services Plan | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The 2014/2016 School Health Services Plan outlines how the district and the Florida Department of Health, Hillsborough County (DOH), will meet the federal and state requirements and mandates.
The submission of the 2014/2016 School Health Services Plan is required by Section 381.0056, F.S., which indicates, each local Department of Health to develop jointly with the school district, a School Health Services Plan that outlines the provisions and responsibilities to provide mandated health services in all public schools. Chapter 64F-6.002, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) requires the plan to be completed biennially. It is the practice of the DOH to sign all documents after School Board approval. |

EVALUATION | |
Annually, the district submits a school health report to the DOH and Department of Education. This report serves as an evaluation tool of the School Health Services Plan. This report collects information on the number, amount, and type of clinical services provided to students, and distribution of funds to accomplish the services outlined in the School Health Services Plan. | |
