SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve to Submit Grant Application to the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) and, if Approved, Accept Funds for the Florida Inclusion Network (FIN) for 2014/2015 (Student Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval to submit a grant application to the FLDOE for FIN. The major goals for 2014/2015 include, increase in student achievement for students with disabilities by accessing the general education curriculum within the least restrictive environment, increase in family-centered activities sponsored by FIN, and increase in academic outcomes for students with significant disabilities for postsecondary options.

A summary narrative of the grant proposal is attached.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum • Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
If approved, funds in the amount of $112,122 will be included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget, FIN grant.
EVALUATION
Performance evaluation measures are determined by the FLDOE. The complete annual state performance report will be completed in December 2014. The results of the evaluation will be shared with all stakeholders.
