| Approve the Renewal of Six Agreements for Technical Services. Each Agreement Provides Services to Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired (FIMC-VI)(Student Services Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The six agreements attached are submitted annually, and are to continue providing services to Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired. Each agreement provides services required by the Visually Impaired Grant to meet the needs of students with visual impairments.
Since 1972, the Florida Department of Education/Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (FLDOE/BEESS) continues to support FIMC-VI with federal IDEA/Part B, IDEA Trust Funds, and State General Revenue appropriations to meet the instructional materials needs of students with visual impairments enrolled in Florida’s schools. As defined by Florida Statute, 1003.55, FIMC-VI will produce, procure, distribute, recirculate, and house specialized materials for students who are blind and visually impaired. Hillsborough County Public Schools has served as FIMC-VI’s headquarters for the past 41 years. |

| Funds in the amount of $245,141(project 2717) are included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget and $29,620 (project 2739) FIMC-VI. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| As required in the Additional Assurances included in the 2014/2015 Project Application, quarterly data reflecting all project activities will be maintained in the FLDOE/BEESS Project Tracking System and Professional Development Portal. | |
