Approve the Agreement Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL and School Improvement Network (Student Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
To support prescriptive professional development needs of teachers at our district’s 30 POWER3 schools, School Improvement Network will provide access to Edivation: PD360, a web-based platform containing numerous instructional materials aligned to the Charlotte Danielson rubric. In addition, specific videos and instruction will be provided on implementing Common Core. PD360 provides instruction specific to elementary, middle, and high school teachers to ensure relevant support and examples. This contract also provides training for representatives from each POWER3 school and district personnel on how to access the materials/videos and use them for professional growth.

• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funding is provided through the Teacher Incentive Fund Grant in the amount of $179,850.
EVALUATION
Usage of teachers will be tracked to determine time spent viewing videos. Following each training module, teacher leaders will support and work with site instructional personnel to implement and assess knowledge gained. The grant will also track anonymized student achievement and teacher evaluation outcomes at the POWER3 sites.
