Request Approval of the Activities Calendar for Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps - 2014/2015 | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) activities calendar is developed and presented for Board approval each year. Colonel Sam Taylor, Senior Ranking Officer, has provided the attached list of JROTC curricular activities for October 2014, through October 2015.
Approval of this calendar allows students to participate in related JROTC in-county and out-of-county activities for 27 high schools and 1 career center. |

• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum | |
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
Activities will be supported by school internal accounts, Carl D. Perkins federal grant, and district budget. | |
EVALUATION | |
Activities will be evaluated by Career and Technical Education supervisors, based on the number of students participating and the impact on student achievement. | |
