EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In 2014-2015, Hillsborough County Public Schools will continue to embrace Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) to school by ensuring that students and staff members are aware of the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use.   To that end we have created a Digital Citizenship website which will include informative and interactive text, parent and family-oriented information, videos, educator lessons and “In the News Now” trending information.

The website will house digital technology topics including but not limited to Internet Safety, Cyberbullying, Digital Footprint and Reputation, and Creative Credit and Copyright.

October is Cyber Security awareness month. Along with the launch of the digital citizenship website we will be sending safety tips and educator resources to principals to share with their faculty.

In addition to providing resources to teachers and students, updates and trending information will be regularly added to the digital citizenship website.
