Approve the Mass Casualty Drill
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
During the last 35 years, Hillsborough County Public Schools has participated in the annual multi-agency Mass Casualty Drill.  The purpose of this drill is to test the response capabilities of the county's emergency resources.  In previous years, the School District provided school buses and student volunteers to be involved in mock emergencies such as tornadoes, fires, explosions, radioactive hazardous spills and chemical spills.  This year, Hillsborough Community College students and staff volunteers will be involved in the mock disaster.  This drill will involve local and federal personnel and agencies and approximately 25 school buses.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The Transportation Department has budgeted $4,000 for this drill.
EVALUATION
After action report of exercise from Emergency Operations Center.
